Kevin Van Meter: What is your assessment of the current state of the labor movement, labor organizing, and the larger class struggle in the United States?

Daniel Gross: Workers over the last ten, fifteen years in the United States have been in undeniable motion. Not all of that motion has been successful and it’s not all union activity, but there have been breakthrough victories and a definite turn toward unionism. Industry after industry, the “unorganizable” are organizing, and in many cases winning. It’s very different and much better than when I came of age around the turn of the century.
